Of meat and water

There has been much discussion on the pros and cons of horse slaughter. There are too many horses, dogs, cats, mule deer and other animals in parts of North America. If other countries can use these types of meat for food why not? Protein is protein.

In North America, people eat raccoons, opossum, squirrels and I don’t hear an outcry about that.

There are pioneer stories of Canadians eating horse meat, rabbits and other wild animals.… Let’s help feed the world and look past what is on our plates to what is acceptable to other cultures.

A comment on a recent article by Dr. Clare Rowson about temper tantrums: My great grandmother had a great cure for breath-holding, a dipper of cold water in the child’s face. One treatment was all it took. Why do parents today put up with screaming and other bad behaviour? Past generations certainly didn’t.
