SASKATOON – How do I market my bung caps in Thailand? Where do I get information on NAFTA and will that agreement affect my bean sales to Mexico? When I send my elk antlers to Korea, are they a food or a drug product and who inspects them? What feed formula can I use to maximize protein use in my cattle herd?

Answers to these and thousands of other questions can now be found quickly using a new on-line information service offered by Industry Canada.

Strategis, available on the internet through a worldwide web site, is the result of a partnership between industry and federal and provincial governments to make trade and business development information available to all who have access to the internet.

Agriculture makes up a large part of the information that is available. The research skills of analysts, engineers, economists and trade officers can be accessed without ever speaking to a government employee.

As well as marketing information, names and telephone numbers are available for trade and agricultural research contacts in Canada and around the world.

Strategis’ internet address is http://strategis.ic.gc.ca and can be accessed with any Netscape-compatible web browser.
