REGINA — RCMP have charged a 51-year-old Weyburn man after an altercation at the Pioneer elevator at Corinne, Sask. July 22.
Police were called around 8 a.m. after a serious assault was reported. EMS and STARS Air Ambulance also responded, and an adult male was transported to hospital by STARS with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Social media reports said the man had been stabbed, but RCMP would not confirm that.
The man charged, Roel Dayaan, was arrested in his semi outside the elevator and charged with one count of aggravated assault. He will appear in Regina provincial court Sept. 17.
