Canada’s Farm Progress Show has kicked off for 2016 with innovation awards for new equipment.
Receiving a gold standard award from a panel of judges were: Maverick Industries Ltd. of Morden, Man., for its horizontal fuel tank pump guard and solar power supply pack; Devloo Roto Mud Scrapers of Somerset, Man., for a canola green seed tester; and Airguard Inc. of Abbotsford, B.C., for an air seeder blockage prevention system.
Silver standards went to Arnold Innovations of Hamiota, Man., for a hydraulic ratcheting cylinder wrench to unplug New Holland CX combines; BN Equipment of Wymark, Sask., for the Contour Buddy System, which allows the MacDon FD series header to cut off the ground while in flex mode; Dimo’s/Labtronics of Winnipeg for an Infra-red bin temperature probe; Sunnybrook Welding & Machine Shop of Sunnybrook, Alta., for a pneumatic combine rotor; Ag Leader Technology of Ames, Iowa, for cloud-based programs; and Intragrain Technologies Inc. of Regina for a Bin-Sense Direct hand-held grain monitor.
