The rain and wet weather (gave)  farmers and rural residents ample time to reflect on the vote that will save the Liberal gun registry in Ottawa. Only moments prior to the parliamentary vote of Sept. 21, at least three Canada-wide internet polls showed an overwhelming support by the general population to scrap the registry. Of the polls conducted, at least 75 percent of Canadians clearly said no to the legislation.
This is not so much about guns, or the wasted $2.5 billion on a system that has failed the public, the police and the government. It’s more about politicians who have taken it upon themselves to overpower the people of Canada.

Prime minister Harper has kept his word. Now Canadians need to send a powerful message to the opposition in Ottawa. This spiteful vote is synonymous to unpopular Liberal legislation of the past. Western Canada was forced into a flag that we didn’t want or need, a metric system of measurement that is still not widely accepted …and now they are forcing gun owners into submitting to their ideology.
Let’s give Mr. Harper the majority he needs to clean house in Ottawa.
