Former Saskatchewan Wheat Pool executive vice-president Bruce Johnson has a new job.

He is the chief operating officer of Originals Online Ltd., a Bermuda-based company specializing in electronic trade document transactions.

Johnson, the former head of the pool’s grain group, was fired last summer by Sask Pool’s board of directors.

“Bruce’s depth of knowledge of the agricultural industry, as well as his understanding of trade logistics in grain transportation make him an invaluable addition to our senior executive team,” said Originals Online chief executive officer Todd Middagh.

Information transfer

The company helps businesses in the shipping, agricultural, financial and trade industries create and transfer electronic documents critical to international trade.

“By using digital technology we’re enabling international trade to securely enter the electronic age,” said Johnson in a company news release.
