Three years after opening, an expansion project is underway at the Co-op Fertilizer Terminal in Brandon that will increase storage capacity by more than 30 percent.

Due to increased customer demand, the estimated $5 million expansion project will add 9,000 tonnes of storage capacity to the existing structure for a total of 36,500 tonnes when it is completed next summer.

The expansion will allow more specialty products to be stored, which will support 4R nutrient stewardship and increase FCL’s offerings to local co-ops for long term growth.

The Brandon location warehouses, blends and distributes crop nutrition products for co-op locations and agricultural producers in Manitoba and eastern Saskatchewan.
