The show must go on for Farmfair International.

The Edmonton based event will be held Nov. 7-11, said Lisa Holmes of Farmfair.

“Farmfair will be at the Edmonton Expo centre for the next five years for sure and we plan to negotiate for the next five years,” she said.

The organization has become a tenant at the centre and wants to strengthen its agriculture program, Holmes said at the Canada Beef Breeds Council meeting held in Calgary March 28.

The 45-year-old show’s future was in question when the crowd pleasing Canadian Finals Rodeo was pulled from the Northlands Coliseum after the city decided to shut down the facility. The CFR will be held in Red Deer Oct. 30-Nov. 4.
