In reply to Mr. (Saskatchewan NDP leader Dwain) Lingenfelter’s letter to Open Forum, Failing farm families, Dec. 16.

I don’t think anybody did a better job of that than the NDP.

They closed schools and hospitals and our roads were a disaster, to say the least. You talk about spending too much on attracting doctors, but instead of trying to get doctors, you chose to just close the hospital.

You let rail companies and elevator companies close elevators and rip up rural lines.

The (Brad) Wall government has and is building schools and hospitals and fixing roads and bridges.

I can drive from here to Saskatoon without hitting a pothole. Before Wall, you couldn’t go a mile between holes.

The Wall government opened up exploration and drilling for oil, gas, potash, coal, diamonds, gold and uranium. People come back home instead of going to Alberta.

What did the NDP do while in power for 16 years?
