Funding applications

The Manitoba Livestock Manure Management Initiative is asking for project funding applications.

The group is looking for innovative ways to deal with livestock manure. This is the second year it has asked for research proposals. Last year nine out of 34 proposals were selected for funding, at a combined cost of $432,000.

Application deadline is Jan. 31. Proposals with a hog industry application will receive the strongest consideration. All projects must be one year or less in duration.

Forms are available from the Manitoba Livestock Manure Management Initiative Inc. at 305-155 Carlton St., Winnipeg, Man., R3C 3H8. Phone 204-945-0225. Forms are also available on the website at www.manure.mb.ca.
