The Conservapac seed drill has been renovated since John Deere bought the Saskatchewan company in 2007.

“We Deerized it, more than adding green paint,” said Al Cappis of John Deere.

The 1870, as the drill is now known, has received a heavier frame and smaller hydraulic cylinders.

New cast trip-housings have been added, along with a new mud scraper, nickel chromium product boots, two piece seed tubes and more carbide on the openers for longer life.
