Like most long-used pastures, this one near Melita, Man.is a graveyard for equipment.
Tucked away in a corner of the Jackson Pipestone pasture, near the old barn and sheds, are various implements from the days when the big iron was smaller. Despite the exposed conditions and unforgiving weather, this gear isn’t about to rust away any time soon.
Nature Conservancy of Canada has recently taken possession of the pasture and will continue to have grazing cattle upon it. | Ed White photos
