Cereals Canada announced a new board of directors and executive committee at its annual general meeting in Winnipeg April 11.
David Hansen is the new chair of the board and previously served as vice-chair.
Hansen is president of Canterra Seeds and brings more than 35 years of agriculture experience to the national not-for-profit organization. He has held various marketing and management positions.
Greg Porozni, the former chair, will continue to participate as a director on the Producer Pillar, which expanded its membership representation at the meeting.
The board will continue to comprise memberships from the pillars of
* farm organizations, seed companies
* crop developers
* grain handling, export and processing firms. The board added end-use processors to the membership this year.
