The Saskatchewan harvest is now at least 30 percent complete.
The provincial crop report released Thursday said, as of Sept. 9, another 36 percent of the crop was either swathed or ready to combine.
The five-year average for this time of year is 28 percent combined and 31 percent ready.
The southwest region is the most advanced, with about 46 percent done. In the southeast, 28 percent of harvest is done.
In central regions, harvest is 23 percent complete in the east and 38 percent complete in the west.
The northern areas are least advanced at 15 percent done in the east and 16 percent in the west.
Above average yields are being reported in most areas. Average reported spring wheat yields are 43 bushels per acre, barley yields are 66 bu. per acre, canola yields are 35 bu. per acre and peas are 42 bu. per acre. Lentils yields are 1,600 pounds per acre.
