Two horses have been killed and two others injured in the last four months on an acreage north of Taber, Alta., along Highway 36.
RCMP are investigating.
The first injured horse was reported Nov. 15, when owners noticed several small cuts on one of their animals. Another horse was injured 10 days later and died of its injuries.
In January, a third horse was injured and on March 20 a horse died of injuries reported to be neck wounds.
Sgt. Tom Cooke of the Taber-Vauxhall RCMP said the investigation continues and police are appealing to the public for additional information.
The incidents occurred on one property, where vandalism including gate tampering, damage to irrigation equipment and the moving of farm machinery has also occurred.
RCMP do not believe the incidents are random, but rather are targeted at one property or individual.
