Hay will move east this fall as western farmers organize to help their eastern counterparts affected by drought.

HayEast 2012 was launched last week and intends to match those in Ontario and parts of Quebec who need hay with those who have feed to sell or donate.

Several farm organizations are co-ordinating the effort and say it’s the right thing to do after eastern farmers did the same through Hay West 10 years ago.

More information on the campaign can be found at www.hayeast2012.com.
