Thomas Molloy was sworn in today as Saskatchewan’s new lieutenant governor.
Molloy, 77 and from Saskatoon, has a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan and is former chancellor of the institution.
He is well known as a negotiator and adviser on indigenous issues. He was involved in treaty negotiations in every province and territory except Alberta.
Molloy was also chief negotiator for two proposed liquid natural gas pipelines in British Columbia.

He takes over from Vaughn Solomon Schofield, who has completed her term.
