Canadian import Redcastle Brelee Majestic has won the Prince of Wales trophy at this year’s National Stallion Show in Scotland.
The Clydesdale is owned by John Anderson of Arbroath, Scotland.
Majestic had earlier been the judges’ pick to win the Thomas Clark trophy for best stallion three years and over and the Robert S Watt of Tods Buchts trophy for best two years and over. Majestic was ineligible to compete for the famous Cawdor Cup, having previously won the award in 2011.
Bred by Lee Smith in Ontario, Majestic was imported by Anderson into Scotland after he was champion foal and overall at the Royal Toronto Winter Fair and champion foal at Rockton and Simco, Ontario. He was sired by Freedom Royal Majestic and was out of Brelee Princess Ainsley.
The Cawdor Cup was awarded to the reserve male champion, Cawood Commodore, from Paul and Matthew Bedford of Woodfield House Farm in Cawood, Yorkshire.
