Innovative products receive awards at Canada’s Farm Progress Show

Nine Canadian and American companies were recognized June 19 for bringing new or unique agricultural products to Canada’s Farm Progress Show in Regina this week.

A panel of three judges named two gold innovation award winners: the Express EndCap Nozzle Body Boom System from Hypro Spray Group in New Brighton, Minnesota, and the Retriever Transport Hitch distributed by Tri Star Farm Services Ltd. in Regina

The panel also awarded seven sterling awards:

• Grain Bags Canada of Lake Lenore, Sask., for a grain auger and grain extractor scale and the Kelly diamond harrow

• Salmon River Innovations of Star, Idaho, for air filter blaster

• Sunnybrook Welding and Machine Shop Ltd. of Sunnybrook, Alta., for a box concave system for axial flow rotary combines

The winners were selected from among 18 finalists.

The show also features 24 product launches among its record 806 exhibits.

Show manager Rob O’Connor said there are 52 foreign exhibitors, not including Canadian companies that bring in and show equipment or products from other countries.

International guests are expected to total more than 600.
