Farmers of North America has reached an agreement to act as a grain sourcing agent for CWB.
FNA is a business alliance that serves farmers across Canada.
It is headquartered in Saskatoon and has 10,000 members across the country.
FNA will communicate with farmers, promote CWB pools and other marketing programs and help producers sign grain delivery contracts with CWB.
“We are extremely happy to have the opportunity to work with FNA to serve their thousands of members across Western Canada and other farmers by strengthening their bottom lines,” said CWB president Ian White.

In South Korea’s ‘apple county’, farmers beg not to be sacrificed for US trade deal
South Korean apple farmers, who account for about a third of the roughly 14,000 households in the sleepy rural area of Cheongsong county, worry that their way of life could be under threat from an influx of cheap U.S. imports.
FNA grain marketing spokesperson Bill Martin said the agreement marks a key advance for farmers by helping create a more competitive marketing environment.
“We believe in competition,” Martin said.
“We are working to ensure that CWB … remains a competitive player and a valuable option for farmers.”
Martin said FNA members include farmers from a variety of farm organizations across Western Canada.
Farmers who sign CWB contracts through FNA will have the ability to deliver grain to any elevator that has an agreement to handle CWB grain and oilseeds.
