Farm Credit Canada employees have raised more than $400,000 for United Way, the corporation announced today.

The campaign ran from Feb. 12-26 and saw employees raise money through voluntary payroll donations, one-time donations and fundraising. The corporation matched each dollar raised by the employees.

Chief executive office Greg Stewart said the total this year is $414,696.23.

“The United Way helps improve lives and touches communities across Canada where our employees and customers live and work,” he said.

United Way Centraide Canada CEO Jacline Abray-Nyman said donations such as those by FCC help make lasting change.

“With their support, United Ways Centralised can continue to achieve meaningful, long-term improvements to the quality of life in Canadian communities by addressing not just the symptoms of problems but also getting at the root causes,” she said.
