Organizers of Canada’s Farm Progress Show in Regina say more than 13,000 people attended the first day.

That’s on par with typical first day attendance, show manager Shirley Janeczko said.

She said staff are busy this morning cleaning up excess water after rain storms during the night, but exhibitors were happy and set for day two.

Speaking at the Farm Progress Forum today are Colleen Dyck, a mother, farmer, former athlete and entrepreneur who created the GORP energy bar, Ontario dairy farmer and founder of #farm365 Andrew Campbell, and Manjit Minhas, beer baroness and Dragon’s Den dragon.
