Those who want to participate in the survey about Saskatchewan farmland ownership laws have two weeks left to do so.

Monday, Aug. 10, is the last day to complete the online survey.

The government said as of July 24 more than 1,700 surveys had been received.

Survey results and comments will be posted later, after any identifying information has been removed.

A decision to change the current law or leave it as it is will be made after all the results are analyzed.

Agriculture minister Lyle Stewart encouraged wide participation, saying the more information the government has the better its understanding will be of what the public wants.

The survey can be found at www.saskatchewan.ca/farmland.
