The weak Canadian dollar helped the oilseed’s futures price to rise Wednesday.
Rising soybeans also support to canola.
May canola closed at $469.60, up $7.80 or about 1.7 percent.
U.S. soybean futures rose on Wednesday, with support from a report Tuesday from Brazil’s government crop supply agency, Conab. It trimmed 1.3 million tonnes from its soybean crop forecast to 93.3 million.
However, gains were limited by the strong American dollar.
Reuters reported May soymeal broke through its 100-day moving average but hit resistance at its 200-day moving average.
