Dry conditions in parts of Alberta have prompted fire bans in several parks and recreation areas.

In the south, Little Bow and Park Lake provincial parks have banned the use of wood, briquette and propane gas fires, including those in designated fire facilities and fire pits.

Further north, bans are also in place for the Wyndham-Carseland provincial park and in the Lake McGregor, Little Bow Reservoir and Travers Reservoir recreation areas.
