Purebred beef shows and sales are well underway at Canadian Western Agribition in Regina.
The beef events began Nov. 12 with the First Lady Classic. Grand champion this year is Copper Creek Lady 1207, a Black Angus exhibited by Michelson Land and Cattle from Ituna, Sask., and Mainstream Genetics.
The reserve First Lady was a Simmental, Wheatland Lady 2104Z, from Wheatland Cattle Co. at Bienfait, Sask.
The futurity champion was also a Black Angus. Miller Wilson Angus from Bashaw, Alta., showed DMM Miss Essence 14Y. The reserve was McTavish Opal 64Y from McTavish Charolais at Moosomin, Sask., and Bo-Jan Enterprises from Sylvania, Sask.

In the Gelbvieh show, the grand champion bull was VV Jake 114Z from V&V Farms of Redcliff, Alta. The reserve was Glad Fladeland Boogyman 28A ET from Fladeland Livestock at Gladmar, Sask.
Davidson Gelbvieh from Ponteix, Sask., showed the grand champion female, DVE Davidson Huba Huba 32A with DVE Davidson Ms Mambo 32Y.
Fladeland Livestock and Delbert and Tammy Wyatt showed the reserve, Flad Fladeland DJW ROC M SOC M 202 A with Flad DJW Winter 202W at side.
The First Lady reserve winner topped the female classes in the Simmental show, while the reserve went to Mader Sugar Daddy 40A with Mader Iron Sugar 7X at side, owned by Mader Ranches, Carstairs, Alta. and 5 Corner Cattle.
The grand champion Simmental bull was Come As U R Red Rocket from Come As U R at Storthoaks, Sask. The reserve winner was KBR Black Bull 132Y from Tableland Cattle Co. at Estevan, Sask. and KBR Kattle Ko.
Exhibitors from Neilburg, Sask., swept the Speckle Park show. Jason Goodfellow and Can-Am Alliance showed the grand champion female, Notta 60W Photo-finish 1Z, and the reserve, Notta 300X Theta 11A with Star Bank Theta 42T at side.
Goodfellow, along with Gerald and Karen Watchel and John and Dale Herbert, showed the grand champion bull, Uneeda Zapper 13Z. The reserve honours went to River Hill 60WLine Drive from River Hill Farm.
