The seventh annual version of Aggie Days in Lethbridge April 23-24 will feature 10 more displays than last year for the benefit of school groups and the public who seek more information on agricultural production.
Attendance at the event has steadily increased since its inception, and this year 42 school classes, comprising 1,800 students from Kindergarten to Grade 9, have already registered to view the 27 exhibits.
They will include a Cows and Fish game show, petting zoo, leather stamping, branding, rope making, sheep shearing and a stock dog demonstration, as well as other displays and hands-on activities.
Doug Kryzanowski, marketing manager for Lethbridge Exhibition Park, said at a news conference today that the event will also offer draws for two $1,000 Registered Education Savings Plans for two participating students.
UFA is the major sponsor for the event. Its participation and that of other sponsors ensure Aggie Days continues its policy of free admission. The event will take place in the north pavilion of Lethbridge Exhibition.
