Agco integrated 27 improvements in four years rather than introduce the high performance Gleaner Super Series as totally new combines for 2011.
Testing won’t prevent glitches if an all-new machine is built comprising 30 to 40 new systems.
With that thought in mind, along with a commitment to evolve the previous R series into the Super Series, Agco engineers decided to gradually introduce the changes that were essential to supporting the higher capacity S6 and S7 line.
Phasing in the new systems over four years gave the engineers confidence that the basic combine would be tried, tested and tuned for the addition of the larger threshing mechanism in the 2011 model.
