Dynaflex combine header

The Gleaner 9250 DynaFlex combine header increases cutting, conveying and feeding performance when used for soybeans and small grains.

The cutterbar design provides easy adjustment for all crop conditions.

The combine mounting bypasses the complexity of hydraulic pumps, motors and hoses common with other draper platforms.

The draper conveying system allows the crop heads to face the same direction, improving crop flow, feeding and threshing. Smooth crop flow increases combine efficiency, maximizing machine capacity and daily harvested acreage.

Deere 2×4 LED lights

New 2 x 4 LED lights are available for John Deere’s row crop and utility tractors.

Case IH wheel rake

Case IH has introduced two new wheel rakes.

The WR401 HD wheel rake has 17 wheels and a maximum raking width of 30 feet 3 inches.

Raking wheels are offset with eight wheels on the left frame and nine on the right frame.

Another feature is a master switch that allows the rake wheels to be lifted independently, left or right or both at the same time. Farmers can also adjust windrow width hydraulically to 72 inches.

The rakes are built to handle tough, uneven terrain. The 60-inch rake wheels feature heavy iron gussets for more strength, ultraviolet-treated poly wind panels, an over centre wheel stop and torsional dampening springs for flotation.

High clearance tractor

New Holland’s TS6030 high-clearance tractor provides 96 horsepower power take-off to work rows of tall vegetables or specialty crops without damaging plants.

A crop clearance of 30 inches at the drawbar prevents damage to crops while cultivating or harvesting. Both axles adjust from 72 to 84 inches to accommodate a variety of rows and farming practices.

A new 274 cubic inch, four-cylinder, diesel engine is turbocharged and intercooled providing maximum performance and fuel efficiency. Designed to run on standard diesel fuel or any biodiesel blend up to B100 that meets accepted fuel quality standards, the TS6030 tractor is Tier III emissions-compliant, fuel-efficient, durable and economical.

It is available with a choice of three transmissions, including two creeper transmissions.

New canola considered

The Western Canadian Canola/Rapeseed Recommending Committee has recommended 21 canola hybrids from Monsanto’s canola breeding program for registration, five of which will be introduced as new Dekalb canola hybrids in 2010.

All hybrids are also rated R for blackleg and fusarium wilt. The new hybrids in the 73 Series include:

  • 73-45 RR – The highest yielding hybrid ever introduced into the Dekalb lineup, for growers seeking maximum yield performance from their canola.
  • 73-55 RR – A broad acre hybrid that will be sold only at independent retailers.
  • 73-35 RR – A short season hybrid, representing Monsanto’s ongoing efforts to find solutions for short season zones.
  • 73-67 RR and 73-77 RR – Two clubroot resistant hybrids developed to address the expanding threat of this disease.
