The skidsteer loader is the new chore tractor on many operations.
Its compact design, operator safety and comfort and ability to fit into corrals and barns has contributed to its popularity.
CNH has a new set of New Hollandbranded machines for 2011. Three are tracked models that were designed to be on tracks rather than being built to accommodate them.
Dave December of New Holland said two of the machines, the C232 and C238, have increased the units’ reach with an extended arm feature that the company calls the Super Boom.

Pulse Canada is trying to help boost lentil consumption in Europe, which is already the fourth largest market.
The feature improves lift height and reach, making truck loading easier.
The machines’ 18 inch wide tracks make them a corral gate-friendly 79 inches wide, six inches narrower than previous models.
The C227 is a radial lift implement that is designed for digging and will likely find a home in landscaping and construction applications.
December said the track systems are aimed at situations where mud or soft footing are often encountered or where extra stability is desired, such as post-hole digging.
He said the cabs are a major leap forward from the L series loaders, with increased head and foot room and a better field of view. An improved ride option is also available.
The three models use a four cylinder, turbocharged 3.2 litre diesel rated for 70, 76 and 84 net horsepower.
The L series skidsteer loaders are also new for this season and come in seven models. The top five get Super Boom feature and the ride option. The two smaller models have radial arms aimed at digging.
Horsepower ranges from 46 to 90 on three engine displacements.
December said the new boom design allows greater reach when loading feed or manure and has a self levelling feature that will keep a load oriented at the same angle through the entire range of the lift.
