New grain bagger

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Published: March 25, 2010

A

metal fabrication company from Neerlandia, Alta., is offering a new grain

bagging machine.

The

CHS Grain Bagger has a 16 inch feed auger with a built-in 14 inch swing unit

for truck and trailer unloads. The swing auger can be shifted hydraulically

from transport to grain bag loading in about three minutes.

Hydraulic

drive wheels and lift on the swing auger’s caddy move the auger in and out of

transport and under a trailer’s hopper gates.

A

long-throw hydraulic cylinder slides the auger over the bagger’s lower hopper

and under the trailer through a yoke.

The

machine has an eight by eight foot upper loading hopper with an optional roll

tarp. The cradle is permanently attached to the rear of the bagger, eliminating

the need for a crane unit.

A

removable window panel is built into the loader to provide towing visibility

from a pick-up truck when the machine is on the road.

Loading

brakes are hydraulic drum with a hand pump and pressure gauge.

The

bagger runs at 540 r.p.m. and protects the drive with a shear bolt.

The

list price from Neeralta Welding is $38,500.
