Deere’s Frontier Products division has put its new snow blower up front on the tractor’s loader.
The SB2176 fits Deere 400 series loaders.
The snow blower is powered by a 540 power take-off mounted pump on the rear of the machine, so it can be operated from the cab without needing to run in reverse to move snow.
The snow blower is mounted with the quick attach points on the loader so it can be dropped and the bucket remounted with a minimum of labour.
The unit is 76 inches wide, with automatic auger speed control. The loader’s hydraulic controls handle height and pitch, while electric-over-hydraulic switches, mounted in the cab, control the chute rotation and angle, as well as the blower’s on and off functions.
The lower cutting edge and skid shoes are replaceable.
