Viterra donates to foodgrains bank projects

Viterra Inc. has donated more than $100,000 worth of crop inputs to 45 western Canadian projects raising funds for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.

The donation includes seed, fertilizer and crop protection products for wheat, durum, barley, canola and flax.

The donation will help project organizers seed 5,400 acres. Once harvested, the proceeds will be sent to the foodgrains bank and used to support programs in the developing world.

Viterra has donated more than $600,000 for these projects In the past 10 years.
