Forty acres of lentils planted on Regina’s outskirts last spring will soon be harvested to feed the city’s hungry. The proceeds from the lentil crop will be donated to Souls Harbour Rescue Mission through a project called Bread of Life.Farmer Murray Gogel and Wigmore Farms, a processor and exporter based at Grand Coulee, Sask., are working together to try to get the best price for the lentils. They hope to get enough money to provide 5,000 hot meals.Souls Harbour provides food, shelter and other assistance to those who are homeless or in need.
