The tractor stolen from a farmer near Indian Head, Sask., earlier this month has been found.
A tip from media coverage of the theft led RCMP to find David Rosin’s New Holland 9882 on a farm property in southeastern Saskatchewan. It has been moved to a secure compound in Estevan.
Sgt. Doug Coleman of F Division Crime Stoppers said the investigation is continuing. No one had been charged as of July 24.
However, Rosin said someone has confessed to loading the tractor onto a trailer and hauling it away on the evening of July 4. The person claimed someone had sold it to him.

Rosin said he is grateful to the person who phoned Indian Head RCMP with the tip.
“The general public was just amazing,” he said. “One person even put an ad in the local paper at his own expense.”
Around the time Rosin’s tractor was stolen, a similar tractor, legitimately purchased at an auction, was being hauled to its new home.
Five people called RCMP after sighting it, intent on finding Rosin’s property.
Rosin now has to haul the tractor home to Indian Head at his own expense.
He hopes rural people will remember the trust they used to have in their neighbours and watch out for each other.
Coleman said he did not know the status of another tractor stolen from near Assiniboia, Sask., in May.
