Striking members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada from Ontario and Quebec meet on the Portage Bridge in Ottawa.

Treasury Board and members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada intend to bargain through the weekend to try to resolve outstanding issues that led to a walkout by 155,000 federal civil servants.

The workers, including Canadian Grain Commission inspectors and other agricultural jobs, have been off the job since April 19.

The union issued a statement Friday, April 28, saying a new offer was on the table.
