We must advance to renewable energy

Can money buy your soul, or has it already? It can certainly buy most of the energy you generate in this lifetime.

In this frustrating era of debt financing, has money not already purchased most of our life’s energies just to pay the mortgage, car loan or Christmas?

On the national scale, those energies supply the taxes that pay for the infrastructure to support the ever-encroaching multinational capitalist system we have practically accepted as the basis of our economy.

Invigor Gold, the canola-quality mustard developed by BASF, is on a collision course with Canada’s condiment mustard industry. It’s difficult to see how the two can co-exist.

Undoubtedly, the accumulation of money is the driving force behind the major corporations that are wilfully killing our environment. Money rewards those whose scruples are non-existent and it funds all wars, so financial superiority can be achieved or maintained and expanded.

We cannot turn for relief to the banks who created money and debt in the first place because their purpose is to skulk like predators to pick the bones of bankruptcy that they have created and selectively impose as the penalty for disobeying their dictates.

If money doesn’t buy the very souls of our politicians, it certainly directs and narrows the vision many of them adopt.

Overwhelming scientific evidence proves our present economic system is rapidly destroying our planet’s ability to sustain life. Yet, too many of our politicians turn a blind eye to the science in favour of the same economic system that has brought us to this precipice. If we forge ahead in total selective ignorance of the catastrophic Armageddon that we are passing on to our children, then we are guilty and complicit in the destruction of Earth’s life-sustaining gifts.

Free, clean, renewable energy is the solution that can rescue us from this debt tyranny.

In the not-so-distant past, clean, renewable energy pumped our water, ground our grain and charged our batteries, etc. With the technological advancements we are capable of today, we can have renewable energy independence anywhere on Earth.

Energy is not found just in uranium and coal mines or in the tarsands, to be owned and hoarded by capitalist billionaires. Energy is everywhere as a free gift to us from creation. There is no price attached; it can’t be owned or monopolized, and you don’t have to sell your soul to benefit from it.
