A Vancouver-based food company is voluntarily recalling ground beef sold in British Columbia because of possible contamination with E. coli 0157:H7.

Killarney Market is recalling five different hamburger products with sell-by dates of May 5-11.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said May 9 that the recall was triggered by test results. It has undertaken an investigation.

No illnesses have been reported in relation to this recall, the CFIA said.

A list of the five products and their UPC codes can be found on the CFIA website.

People who have purchased the products in question should throw them out or return them to the store where they were purchased. Food contaminated with E. coli can cause illness, sometimes severe.
