Trey Morris of Murray, Kentucky, won the 2014 Winners Circle Auctioneers Competition at Canadian Western Agribition yesterday.
Morris is the 2012 Kentucky state champion, and his smooth patter won over five judges during the annual Regina event.
The other competitors were Tyler Slawinski from McCreary, Man., and Curtis Wetovick from Fullerton, Nebraska.

The competitors auctioned 23 horse pull teams, which are competing today and tomorrow in light, middle and heavy weight classes.
They also sold a dozen items donated to support the STARS air ambulance service, raising $8,000. Highlights included an autographed Geroy Simon Saskatchewan Roughriders jersey, which sold for $1,300, and a bottle of single malt scotch, which sold several times over for a total of $1,700.
