Wayne Digby, former executive director of the Manitoba Forage Council, is the recipient of the Canadian Forage and Grassland Association’s leadership award.
He was announced as the winner today and will be officially recognized at the CFGA annual conference Nov. 18 in Bromont, Que.
The association said Digby provided leadership to the Manitoba Forage Council and helped establish its strategic direction and overall management structure.
He also provided leadership in the formation of the national group, which included forage and grassland organizations as well as livestock groups and government departments.
As well, he worked for six years as a consultant on community and industry projects and was extension program manager for a Canada-Ukraine farm program.
Digby served as executive director of the CFGA from 2010-13.
