The second module in Saskatchewan Agriculture’s operator program is now accepting applications.

The spraying and scouting module will run June 11 to July 4 and includes 36 hours of hands-on workshops and nine hours of online class.

In-class sessions also take place June 11 to 13 and June 16 to 18 at Parkland College in Yorkton.

This module discusses spraying, scouting and equipment maintenance and follows the seeding module. Ten people took that course, which wrapped up in mid-April.

The third module, harvest, will run July 7 to Aug. 15.

The program is designed to help people who want to work in agriculture get the experience and training required. Tuition is $1,500.

It is offered through Growing Forward 2.

More information on the program and how to apply can be found at www.saskatchewan.ca/growingforward2 or www.parklandcollege.sk.ca.
