Health Canada has announced plans to limit the use of antibiotics for growth promotion purposes in livestock. Within three years’ time, use will be limited to specific health issues and provided under direction of a veterinarian. Healthy but curious calves like this one will not be given antibiotics as an eventual chaser to scrap pieces of drywall.
