Furrow closer
The new K-Hart Furrow Closers were designed to manage crop emergence by helping to ensure more even germination resulting from uniform soil coverage on each seed row.
When using direct seeding equipment, especially the double shoot openers, soil is thrown out of the seed trench far enough that it does not flow back in properly.
The K-Hart furrow closer redirects soil back over the seed, preventing it from drying out. The closer provides a smoother field finish, knocking down soil ridges left from the knife openers.

Cone tank stand
Free Form Plastic Products has a new product designed to make it easier to handle liquid.
The Truck and Trailer Mount Cone Tank Stands come in two configurations.
The 88 inch diameter heavy-duty stand accommodates 1,250 and 1,400 imperial gallon cone bottom tanks.
This unit fits inside a grain truck box.
The 102 inch diameter heavy-duty version is designed for 1,500, 2,000 and 2,500 imperial gallon cone bottom tanks. This larger unit is designed for flatbed trailers.
The cone stands accommodate the company’s line of standard-duty or heavy-duty cone bottom tanks. The standard-duty is ideal for water hauling.
The heavy-duty design is engineered to carry products such as liquid fertilizer and livestock supplements.
The cones have a 10 degree slope allowing for total drainage, reducing the height of the tank.
The tanks can be plumbed in either two or three inch diameters. Tanks are fastened to the stand with nylon straps adjusted with ratchet style fasteners. The tanks have a heavy dome top with eight re-enforcement ribs. They come in white, black and custom colours.
Kits are available to allow viewing of liquid levels on black tanks.

No-till disk opener
K-Hart Industries Model 2612 no-till disc opener replaces the Model 2611 opener.
The redesigned opener offers several improvements.
The parallel trip linkage now has a vertical travel of 10 inches and can be adjusted without tools for various down pressures.
The redesigned packer rests against a solid stop when in working position for accurate seed placement.
However, when the disc opener raises while going over rocks, the spring loaded packer keeps on the ground, giving consistent packing pressure. Down pressure on the packer can be adjusted without tools, in a range of 15 to 110 pounds.
The large double row ball, triple-sealed bearings that support the 16 inch offset heavy-duty discs are unchanged.
The optional K-Hart residue manager can be attached to the Model 2612 disc openers to help clear a path for fields that have heavy straw residue.
