Hesston’s new 900 series round balers feature improved reliability and hay handling.
Servicing has been fine tuned with the addition of angled hinges that use the side doors’ weight to keep them open. As well, alligator rivet style lacing on the belts allows repairs to be made in the field, the company says.
To reduce the wind’s effect on the baler, Hesston has added a wind guard and pick-up flares. The rear pivoting wind guard can be adjusted according to crop height.

New grain dryer
Delux Mfg. Co. has a new model in its line of grain dryers.
The DP4020 can handle 400 bushels per hour, removing five points of moisture on a dry and cool basis.
The unit has two 10 horsepower fans and can hold 475 bu.
The unit is designed for fuel efficiency, using vacuum cooling to recycle the warm dry air from the cooling grain. This saves up to 50 percent over traditional dryers, the company says.
Self-cleaning concave aluminum metering rolls are designed for consistently metered discharge, eliminating grain damage.

Fresh air pre-filtered
Ultimate Vent Inc. has a pre-filter system for furnace fresh air intakes.
The vent includes a washable filter that stops dust, insects and most pollens, mites and allergens. The company says it should reduce the need for furnace and duct cleaning.
The UL Class 2 filter complies with national and regional building codes.
