Multidisc mower
A new model multidisc mower, the GMD 801, is the latest addition in the series product line for Kuhn Farm Machinery Inc. The mower has a working width of 3.11 metres (10 ft, two in.), and a redesigned cutterbar that limits sharp angles where soil or crop residue could accumulate. Discs are placed so the knife overlap cuts clean under all conditions. Other features include easy maintenance, since the discs, disc guards and skid are made of surface-hardened steel for maximum wear resistance. Discs are bolted on their own drive hubs for ease of removal. Disc bearing stations can also be removed easily from above.

Slurry storage
A new model of slurry storage unit, introduced by A. O. Smith Harvestore Products Inc., offers capacity ranging from 3.3 – 9.3 million litres (819,530 to 2.34 million gallons.) The Slurrystore system of manure management features a new 36 metre (120-ft.) diameter model, available in five heights. The new sizes are a response to the needs of larger dairy, beef and hog operations, which seek a more environmentally sound animal waste containment system. New models are capable of handling up to six months of storage. Features for the larger structures include dual agitation, and stronger glass-fused-to-steel sheets at the bottom. All 36 metre (120-ft.) diameter models can be expanded to the full 8.4 metre (28-ft.) height.
