High volume sprayer
Application Systems recently introduced the new TS series sprayer. These sprayers are available with a single or tandem axle and feature a heavy-formed double frame for strength. TS sprayers are equipped with either a 2,925-litre or 3,900-L poly tank.
Bottom-filling allows for clean carrier solution and quick fill ups. High-volume 155 solenoid valves allow more material flow to the boom for high-volume applications. A ball joint hitch improves boom stability and application accuracy.
Optional equipment includes 13.8-by-38 Rl flotation tires, a high-volume centrifugal pump and high-volume foam markers. A 390-L rinse-and-flush system and chemical inductor will be available in July.

Harrow bar
Highline Manufacturing Inc. has a new heavy harrow bar on the market called the Stubble Buster. Sections measure 1.8 by 2.5 metres (six by eight feet) with a five by 7.5 cm (two by three inch) frame. Each section has five rows of one cm by 56 cm (1/2 by 22 inch) tines mounted on 51 cm (20 inch) centres which offer extra clearance in heavy stubble. If bunching occurs, hydraulic adjustment means tines can be angled back to evenly release straw.
The Stubble Buster can tolerate higher speeds required to breakdown straw and cover more acres per hour. A mounted applicator allows the implement to be used for incorporating granular herbicides.
