Shur-Co, a manufacturer of roll-up tarps for farm trucks and grain semi-trailers, has introduced a tarp for grain carts.
The Shur-Lok for grain carts comes in original design and junior models.
The original has a hold-down system designed to ensure the tarp fits properly without ropes, cables, clamps or tie-downs.
One person can operate the system from the ground.
The junior model is simplified and less expensive. Its end caps are part of the tarp and will roll open with it.

Bale transporter
Hauser’s Machinery Ltd. of Melville, Sask. has introduced a new product to its line of round bale transportation equipment.
The in-line tag hitch bale transport has been adapted to include feeder panels.
The panels can be handled by one person and require no tools to install. The unit holds seven bales for a total length of eleven metres (36 feet). After the bales become smaller from feeding, the panels slide into the unit.
The feeders are sold as a complete unit or separately to add to existing transports.

Recording tool holds info
Reliable Scale Corp. has introduced an electronic record-keeping tool to gather and store animal information on performance.
The Cattle-Logger can collect information from digital and analog thermometers, electronic or visual identification tags, and digital and analog scales.
It can store more than 4,000 detailed records for transfer to herd management software in a personal computer.
The device operates on 12 volt DC power and is designed to be rugged and weatherproof. It is compatible with Reliable’s model 75 weigh scale and other digital electronic scales.
It has four RS-232 channels and one RS-422 channels for simultaneous connections to five devices.
