Windrowers
MacDon’s new M Series of self propelled windrowers are designed to boost production in the field and reduce transport times.
The windrowers feature MacDon’s patented dual direction technology, which allows a 180 degree rotation of the operator station for stability on the road. The M Series windrowers have a top field speed of 25.7 km-h and a top road speed of 37 km-h.
M Series tractors are available in two models:
- The M150 is powered by a 130 horsepower, 4.5 litre turbo QSB series Cummins diesel engine that delivers a power boost to 140 horsepower as engine load increases.

- The M200 is equipped with a Perkins 1106D, 6.6 litre, six cylinder turbo engine rated at 213 h.p. with a power boost to 220 h.p. as rpm drops.
Both engines have been configured with torque characteristics engineered for MacDon’s tractor and header requirements and can be mounted with all of MacDon’s next generation headers.
M Series tractors have been equipped with a computerized header control and monitoring system that provides the operator with a real time readout of the header’s cutting performance.
The machines also feature fingertip controls for all header functions.
The M Series frame features a wide wheel stance and an unobstructed 45 inch clearance below frame for unmatched windrow clearance when cutting bushy crops.
There is also a new hydraulic header drive with load-sensing circuits that delivers power on demand to all header functions. Reel and conveyor have also been indexed to ground speed for reduced shatter and crop loss.

Steering control
The FarmPRO GPS system is a new GPS steering and application control system.
FarmPRO combines the Viper PRO display and control system from Raven Industries and the sub-inch accurate RTK AutoSteer from AutoFarm.
It is a fully integrated single control stream that uses one terminal. It offers variable rate control and complete boom management, along with sub-inch accurate RTK steering.
It features automatic steering and application control functions, variable rate control for up to five products, automatic boom height and section control, a 10.4 inch colour touch screen display, Windows XP operating system, data transfer via USB key and auto calibration of steering and application functions.
