Welder generator

Miller Electric has increased the output of its Bobcat 250 and Trailblazer 302 Kohler gas-powered and Kubota diesel-powered welder generators.

The reconfigured machines now offer an Accu-Rated 11,000 watts of useable peak power, which enables the units to better handle sudden electrical loads.

Accu-Rate is Miller’s guarantee that the welder-generator will provide the stated peak power for a minimum of 30 seconds at 104 F.

With 11,000 watts of power, the Bobcat 250 and Trailblazer 302 are better able to tackle increased power loads commonly encountered during motor starts. The Bobcat and Trailblazer are perfect for farm and ranch applications or as emergency back-up generators for rural homes.

Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.

Farmers who use a Bobcat 250 or Trailblazer 302 as an emergency back-up generator also benefit from the output increase because there is less chance of tripping a breaker or allowing a voltage drop that could harm motors when a well pump, air conditioner or refrigerator starts.

All models have 12 gallon fuel tanks designed to extend running times.

The machines also include high-impact protective armour with covers designed to protect the unit on the job site and during transport.

Air hoe drill

Case IH has a new series of air hoe drills designed to improve productivity, deliver accurate seed placement and ensure fast, uniform germination and emergence regardless of terrain.

The Case IH ATX700 and ATX400 series drills are available in widths from 27 to 70 feet. The machines have a variety of trips, openers and press wheels in different configurations.

The ATX700 is available in 60 and 70 foot widths. With the large tire option, the transport width of the 70 foot drill is 17 feet, 8 inches, and 13.5 feet high.

The frame is constructed with 12 by 12 inch steel tubing that enable the drill’s wings to flex and follow, maintaining precise depth for the openers.

The ATX700 offers shank spacings of 7.5, 10 and 12 inches on the 60 foot size, and 10 or 12 inches on the 70 foot drill. Shanks are patterned in a split row configuration for a smooth field finish.

The ATX400 flexible frame is designed to follow field contours to maintain a constant seeding depth.

The flexible frame joints dissipate frame stress for more durability than frames with traditional, solid-welded joints.

Key flex points are protected with high quality chrome pins, non-greasing polylube bushings, polyurethane pads and barrel bolts. Two hydraulic cylinders and single-point depth adjustment provide simple control of seeding depth across the entire machine.

A parallel linkage between the front casters and rear press wheels keeps the frame level and maintains seeding depth in changing conditions.

Dual walking caster wheels provide optimum flotation.

The four-bar frame with ground clearance up to 32 inches provides for smooth residue flow.

The ATX400 comes in widths from 27 to 52 feet. The four-bar configuration is available in 7.2, 10 and 12 inch row spacing.

Herbicide package

Bayer CropScience has introduced iPak, a new herbicide package that contains the new Bayer broadleaf herbicide Infinity and the grass herbicide Horizon 240 EC.

It works in spring wheat and durum to control more than 18 broadleaf weeds, including

Group 2-resistant kochia, cleavers and wild buckwheat.

The package will also control grassy weeds such

as wild oats and green foxtail.

The iPak contains one 6.7 litre container of Infinity herbicide, one 1.84 litre container of Horizon 240 EC and one 6.4 litre container of Score adjuvant, which is enough to cover 20 acres.

It will be available to independent retail outlets in Western Canada this growing season.
