Parallel link disc drill
Great Plains has introduced three drills, at 15, 20 and 25 foot widths. All feature a 2.4-bushel-per-foot seed box. The 10HD drill openers have 11 inches of vertical travel via a parallel linkage assembly.
Heavy-duty down-pressure springs offer six different settings for down-force pressures, ranging from 250 to 500 pounds per row. Each row unit features 15 inch by four millimetre thick planter blades for trash clearance, strength and longevity. An 18 position T-handle depth control sets the opener depth.
Closing wheel options include 2 inch X 13 inch or 3 inch X 13 inch single centre rib; 1 inch X 12 inch double V, or 1¼ inch X 13½ inch double wedge style. All models offer row spacings of six, 7.5 and 10 inches. A precision model is also available, which offers singulation of a variety of seeds on each row.
